MOUNTING INSTRUCTIONS FOR PC322MN 4" BUNG ADAPTOR MOUNTING FLANGE

To install the PC322MN bung adaptor you must first decide the point you wish to penetrate the bottom of the sumps base. It will require a 5" Hole saw to cut the required size hole needed. When installing in one of PCI=s 42" model sumps and you plan on an off center penetration you must take into consideration the 2" step found in the bottom of these bases. Because of this you will not be able to get the center pilot hole of your 5" hole saw any closer than 4-3/4" to the step.

Once the point has been determined, drill your 5" hole. After the hole has been drilled you must now use an minimum 40" sand paper to sand the interior and exterior of the sump. The bung adaptor=s flange is 9" overall so we suggest you sand around the hole a larger diameter that the flange itself. When sanding make sure the entire surface inside and out has been completely been removed. After sanding use acetone orig a high grade thinner to remove any contaminates that might be on the surface.

Install the bottom section of the PC322MN into the tank and tighten. Place the flat rubber gasket that comes with the PC322MN on the flange of the bottom section. Now apply a heavy coat of Bostik 920 to the rubber gasket. Place the sump base on the bottom section of the PC322MN bung adaptor in the approximate position required. Place another good bead of the Bostik 920 on the bottom of the sump base around the 5" hole of the adaptor. Hand tighten without allowing the sump base to move. Once you have tighten the adaptor as tight as possible you can, place a cold chisel on the raised areas of the upper section of the adaptor, and hammer to tight.

Let fitting stand for at least 30 minutes before continuing.
